A copper mine in Nevada needed a current picture of its mine-area electrical distribution to operate and maintain it safely. Working from the mine’s one-line diagrams and on-site field data collection, CEI performed a power-system study across the mine’s distribution circuits. The study evaluated the distribution and delivered an arc-flash hazard analysis, giving crews accurate incident-energy information for the mine’s equipment.
